Partners lead tough conversations about substance abuse
In 2019, Humana market leaders gathered a group of faith and community leaders to understand mental health and substance abuse challenges in neighborhoods of great need. The community embraced our Bold Goal by organizing Faith and Hope mental health forums and creating local chapters of the Youth MOVE organization to empower youth to find new solutions to these complex issues. In addition, Humana and its Bold Goal partners are working to improve access to healthy food and remove transportation barriers to help seniors alleviate loneliness and social isolation. And in 2020, during COVID-19 restrictions, Humana partnered with the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay, Rapid Response Relief Fund, to ensure Bold Goal partners could respond to our neighbors in greatest need.
